No Lack in Desire; Only Lack in Discipline

As one can easily see, I have not posted to this blog in over six months.  It seems to be difficult to consistently come here and write.  Hopefully I'll do a better job in 2009; it is a desire of mine to write more.  I wonder if anyone is out there reading?

Maybe if you wrote a comment to this post letting me know you are reading, that would encourage me to write my thoughts.  Also, any random questions you might have floating around in your head you'd like to ask-- please ask away.  That'll help me find the motivation to write.

In closing, I began reading "The Everlasting Man" by G.K. Chesterton the other day.  I am not too terribly far into it yet.  But I find it to be a very engaging book.  I want to share with you a quote from the Introduction that I found inspiring...

"When the world goes wrong, it proves rather that the Church is right.  The Church is justified, not because her children do not sin, but because they do."

Our job as Christians is not to show the world how to be perfect; rather it is to show them that, in fact, we are not perfect-- yet still we are accepted by God.
